From My Perspective

"We always have the choice of bringing light or darkness to another person."

What are you known for?......

Have you ever felt like you just missed the plane or bus or any situation where you waited, hesitated, or lost focus and ended up being too late for what you wanted?

Have you ever had a project or relationship deteriorate because you simply did not take adequate care?

One of my favorite authors recently came out with a new book named Perspective. The title is one that I have had slowly developing on the back burner of my mind for a while now. And there it sits while someone else has reached out for the gold ring on the merry-go-round of life.

We human beings seem to do this often. We start endless ventures like flower gardens, diets, lists of work goals, plans for get-togethers, etc. And then we wait—as the flowers die from lack of watering, sometimes still in their boxes; the eating resolves fade away, the friends are forgotten about until it’s too late to make arrangements, etc., etc..

We seem to be people who are starters but not finishers. There is hope in starting, and nothing is expected of us—yet. But then, after the initial excitement or fifteen minutes of fame, we put ourselves on the fast track to whatever is trending next and procrastinate with the rest of the pending projects.

I wonder…..wouldn’t it make more sense to simply spend focused time on a few things that really are good ideas? Wouldn’t it be better to actually accomplish something good? And what would happen if we were able to flow with excellence in just a few quality areas of life—like sharing personal peace?

What do you think?
