He’s going in circles, this little speckled, hopping ball of fur. Looking for what? Food? Home and family? A direction in life?
He gives the impression of being cute, silly, and slightly pathetic at the same time. Certainly not a rare bunny at all.
But this can be true of people too...
It is obvious that the faster we go the less we see. Things just seem to fly by without allowing a chance to focus on what is there, on now.
And we are left either wondering what we saw or filling in the gaps and making our own usually incorrect conclusions about things that we have experienced.
We may all be this way at times, in our sometimes endless search for something, almost anything outside of us that will temporarily guide us in what to say, do, wear, who to be with, or be seen with.
It is somewhat akin to following a roving spotlight in an attempt to keep center stage.
The problem is that in this constant search around us, we never seem to find ourselves.
We become like that little bunny hopping in no particular direction, following whatever seems to be popular at the time: never settling on one path that has real meaning to us---
never knowing not only who we are, but who we are meant to be.
