Wow! Fresh new crayons, blank paper, unread books, and new things to learn. Kinda sounds like it's a great daily life, doesn't it? Well, except for the crayons and all the negativity around.
Like some children, who face the new school year with a hopeful attitude and an excitement to learn, some adults actually do face everyday life with a positive attitude and the excitement of discovery.
I wish we could all be that way. I wish we could all focus on the excitement of a new day. I wish we were all able to live in the present moment with gratitude and peace within ourselves.
It is still there, this thrill of discovery, this half full glass that is ready to be
filled to the brim and overflowing with wonder. All it takes is the practice of positive awareness--simply to be aware without judgment. All it takes is a little prayerful silence and a change of attitude.
All it takes is you...stopping long enough to hear God whisper, "I love you."
